My skin journey started earlier than most. I was dealing with acne in 5th grade. While other kids were worrying about playground games, I was trying to hide breakouts and dark spots that seemed to multiply overnight.
For decades, I tried everything. Over the counter products that promised miracles but delivered irritation. Dermatologist prescriptions that were too harsh for my melanin rich skin. Even those DIY kitchen remedies your aunties swear by, lemon juice, turmeric masks, you name it.
Nothing worked. And honestly? I almost gave up. I started telling myself, "Maybe I'll just never have clear skin. Maybe this is just how it is."

In My 40s, Everything Changed
Thankfully, I didn't give up. In my 40s, I finally stopped chasing the next "miracle product" and started studying ingredients. I dove deep into understanding what actually works for melanin rich skin, how it works, and why so many products fail us.
